When I saw the varietals, Monastrell and Syrah, I just assumed that this Spanish wine was from somewhere in Northern Spain near the Pyrenees range. Oh boy
was I wrong, Bullas is south of Valencia, but more inland, almost directly south of Rioja.
Once again a recommendation from my new friend Justin at Stew Leonard’s. This time I asked. So far, he is 3 for 3.
This wine is in the same price range, about $11.99
Easy to enjoy. I get cherries in the nose with fruit up front on the pallet, followed by earthy almost mineral / chalky, acidic finish, but all silky and subtle. Medium finish, light tannin.
