Keeping with my “quick and easy” theme that is dedicated to Lucifer, my son.

Astounding how something so simple can be so delicious, but you must use the correct ingredients.
Never ever ever use miracle whip, you will be tried for heresy.
You can make your own mayonnaise if you like, or use real mayo.
Your tomato should be ripe. You can use plum tomatoes, or any other heirloom, beefsteak, etc. but it must be ripe. How do you know it’s ripe, well, if it yields to a gentle squeeze but is not all mushy, and has a nice tomato aroma, is glossy, and deep red, you’re good. The aroma is very hard to get, so don’t worry if you don’t. Tomato slices should be about ¼ inch thick.
My grandmother was once talking about how nice the tomatoes were. She said it was like an apple. To this day, I have no idea what she was talking about. There were many many things that adults said when I was a kid that to this day, make no sense at all.
You can use iceberg lettuce, but romaine is better. You can use arugula which is very nice (perhaps my favorite). I happened to only have spinach on hand, and it worked beautifully.
Bacon should be crisp. You can use maple bacon, but hickory smoked is better. You can use turkey bacon, but if you do, use only Applegate brand. This Turkey bacon is the best I’ve had - https://applegate.com/products/bacon/category
Bread can be any kind of white, wheat, or whole grain, lightly toasted. I used Oatnut.
Assembly of your BLT
You don’t necessarily need to go in order, you know B – L – T
I spread a thin coat of Mayo on each slice of toast
Lay down some lettuce
Lay down some bacon on top of the lettuce
Place the tomato slices on top of the bacon
Very lightly salt and pepper the tomatoes
Lid it with the other slice of bread. - I like a little Franks on mine.
Wish you had two, but don’t.
